In your contributions page, you are asking for only $200 from each person. Please raise it to more. I don't think $200 per person will do justice for the kind of work that is ahead of us. If Comprehensive Immigration Reform fails, we will need even more lobbyist time to introduce it in other bills and then get it through the House.
I just sent $500 by bill pay and that is only a fraction of the benefit if I were to get my GC sooner.

ICICI can not predict rather no one can predict what will be the exchange rate tomorrow. The minimum forex transaction at dealer level is for $1 mil. So, they can't promise you some rate the moment you hit the submit button. They will pool all the transactions like yours and then do a big contract together. ICICI provides lot of other services which SBI will not in terms of convenience. And ICICI deals big time in forex transactions. In this market the guy with biggest transactions will have lowest cost and depending on competition will have incentive to pass it on to you as an end user. They might time it within a particular time frame but that is something unavoidable.
Why cannot they just say it?. Why can�t they say that it will take 2 days to 22 days or 222 days to transfer the amount?, if someone needs to send money due to an emergency, they do it thinking that the money will be transferred in two or three days, a week maybe�

i dont think they are hiding any numbers from EB3 ppl..thay are just following the rules book to the letter...
and since only one group of ppl are affected..they dont want to take the pain of fixing the immigration mess...4-5 years is a normal lag for ROW and non retrogressed nations...
You can go to USCIS website they have
information of Freedom of information act..specified..you can get ur dose of reality check if you want...
instead of that you can be more proactive and support IV campaings!
Is IV interested in doing a Freedom Of Information Act request to USCIS how and when they used up all visa numbers for EB3-India. That might show some information if they cooked the numbers if at all. We might get some more insight which monthly VISA bulletin does NOT give.

Rather than pushing for Bills which will pass only after we get a GC, why don't we ask for something more practical. I mean ask for minor policy changes rather than asking for major law changes.
Like,
1- granting EADs to all who have completed I-140,
2- reducing the timeframe to apply for AC21 from 6 months to 3 months,
This will solve a lot of people's immediate problems.
There are many people who couldn't get their status readjusted due to retrogression after filing I485, but could get EAD atleast.
What does that mean? It means by law only a certain amount of GCs can be issued in any year, but USCIS may issue more EADs based on one of their policies.

Does your old company withdraw I140? If the answer is No, then you should move.
My priority date is Jan 04 EB2 and I have a very good job offer. I am in dilemma whether to change the job or just wait for the PD to become current. I have recently got my H1 approval for 3 more year on the basis for 140 approval.

I posted my comments and my story (with links to couple articles that were published sometime back about my case in a newspaper).
Lets add more stories. As someone already suggested lets concentrate on how our GC can contribute to the economy - buying a house/establishing a company/etc. I also quoted some of the recent studies that showed how immigrant entrepreneurs positively contributed to the economy (couple links from IV).

I hope any of the accounting Guru's here help me answer this.
I got an RFE for ability to pay. My current wage is 4000$ less than the prooffered wage. My company filed 1120S and there is no net income line on it, there is only a Ordinary Business Income (total income- Total deductions) line which has 6503$. Is Ordinary business income considered same as Net Income?
My Lawyer is trying to include a cover letter arguing that Current wage + Net Income > Prooffered wage. Do you think "Ordinary Business Income" can be considered as "Net Income".

I have very high regards for Aman due to his dedicated efforts. 64K he spent is the big big amount as an individual.
I suggest, lets have a request to Bollywood artist to organize some shows at USA in benefit of IV (they may give us some discount). We shall pay back 63K to Aman (IV can keep 1k as his contribution).
Other option is 630 people should contribute $100 each to pay back Aman. I received my green card and ready to contribute $100 to this account. I already contributed $700.

Having seen numerous threads in which the exchanges became rude/sarcastic/rude or even outright abusive and vulgar, I was hoping that this would not become one.
Ron, while you may have a point in what you say, sarcasm and taunts will get you no where. As you said, the 'antis' are gearing up, suggesting (I presume) that the effort of all of us should be more concerted and determined. But you are not doing yourself any favor by saying the things that you do.
Raji had a point of view, and has not been rude or offensive in expressing it. In fact, her/his first post was out why it is not good to use the AILA template. Well, PASKAL did try to address. Raji's tone or tenor of posts did not merit a peremptory reply, much less a rude one.
Be that as it may, I do believe fervently that even if someone insists/demands an answer, you can always ignore it instead of being rude or aggressive.
That way there will be more people on IV'S side.

Plus, to add to the complication, I've also confirmed ticket to meet them at Frankfurt on their way to US. My Euro vacation for a week would collapse and have to cancel everything.
I'm try to keep myself sane. There are much worse situations people are facing in this forum ( for example, a ninth pregnant lady getting laid off).
Just hoping (and praying) that this can be solved smoothly.
