Did you guys paid attention to this, when Inflation rose to 13% Indian Finance Minister said it is because Oil is at $160 a barrel, but now as Oil has come down, Inflation has come down worldwide Inflation is still above 12% in India. also, when Stock markets were at 22K Indian FM minister used to give Interviews every day it is because of great policies of UPA govt. Now Sensex has slashed 40%, Finance Mn. has suddenly dissapeared. Did you guys also heard him saying 'Indian economy is insulated from ongoing US crisis'. I doubt if there is a bigger liar in Indian govt. than the finance minister he's beaten Laloo, amar singh types...

There is an even a more direct benefit here I think. If the bills pass, dates move forward for everyone both AOS and CP.

Hi,
Its been two months passed since i got GC. My question is , Is it necessary to stay with employer for atleast six months after getting GC. Would really appreciate if someone helps me out.

I too had soft LUD's on Mar 26 and 27 and thereafter continuosly from 30 mar 2009 to 3rd Apr 2009 (total 7 days), this happenned after my reply to 485 RFE.
I didnt apply for EAD/AP or no other applications are pending except 485 . Recieved date is Aug 2, 2007 and My PD is NOV2004/EB3
Nembrask service center current processing date for 485 is 15 Aug 2007 , Looks like they are going through all the files in the order they recieved and pereadjucating each case else deniel letter.

Unfotunately what you are saying sounds cool except that its not true.
Job offer has to be valid on the day petition filed or the specific date mentioned.
There is nothing cool here. Employer did mistake by charging money and candidate came to US uninvited.

This fellow who wrote this might be one of those arm chair critics who just criticizes everything if it doesn't favor that individual. What a moron. I am sure this fellow is clueless about how much effort is put into to make a legislation.
There has been lot of work done by many IV volunteers just to get a bill introduced. It is so stupid just to trash talk the efforts put in by the selfless IV volunteers.
All IV members has to be proud that we have been able to get a bill that addresses the GC backlogs. Hey one year back lawmakers were clueless about EB GC issues. Now majority of the lawmakers atleast have an understanding about EB GC issues. It is a matter of time before we succeed.
The easiest guage for the success of the IV efforts is to see the response U get from the lawmakers when U write to them about GC issues. Earlier U used to get a generic reply about undocumented workers and broken borders, nowadays U would be getting replies that talk about EB immigration. Isn't that an achievement. As a professional aren't U proud that U are give the respect U deserve rather than getting clubbed with undocumented workers. Ask for U'r self?

I got soft LUD on 4/10 and a hard LUD on my wife's application on 4/13. My attorney recd the RFE today and informed that USCIS is requesting evidence of my marriage to be bonafide.
My attorney is asking for additional legal fees for replying to RFE. Gurus, do you think I should pay to the attorney or can I just reply to USCIS with evidence?

dont pay anything to your attorney, ask him to mail you the RFE, just attach the marraige certificate along with the RFE + envelope sent by USCIS which has a bar code.
In my case, attorney forwarded the RFE and asked me to mail it myself, I didnt even put a covering letter, RFE letter on top will act as a covering letter. I used USPS overnight, USCIS received the next day and got a hard LUD on my case.

I am desi also, but I hate these consulting companies who do that. I worked my a** off to get a full time job, never faked my resume. People in this forum who blame it on the system are as guilty as the desi companies. Come on people, who are you all kidding, can you commit a crime and balme it on society/system for it? now we know the reason for my wife's RFE. They want to prove the validity of her marriage to me. We were married only for few months before we applied for I485 ( july fiasco ). My attorney had asked for few documents. Let us see how it goes.

So you see, what really matters here is whether you feel you are entitled to something or not. If you don�t feel entitled to a fair immigration process that does justice to those who seek legal ways to immigration, then you probably aren�t entitled. To ask for something, you must first believe that you deserve it. And to show that you deserve it, you must ask it loudly and clearly from rooftops.Don�t predict visa bulletins, but work to change and influence the visa bulletin 6 months from now. And no, you wont be deported for exercising that constitutional right.

only difference between GC and Citizenship. Ofocurse if you do
something bad you will goto jail and no deportation :D

Incorrect. There are LOT of differences.
1. Visa free travel to many countries
2. No need to maintain GC status, even if I spend >1 year out of US
3. Can work on jobs that require Security Clearance
4. Can sponsor GC for Parents/Siblings
5. Be part of School PTA

Irritated with the lack of transparency and pathetic Customer service.
Created SR :- std reply blah blah.. under review..wait for 60 days.
Twice talked to IO :- First time response.. we are working on your case..
second response :- As per our info on my screen, it is not yet assigned to IO and neither pre-adjudicated. One person says one thing and another says another thing. I do not know what screen they are looking and how they are pulling info. What is the point of puting CSR if they have half baked info or worse no info on where the case is.
Have infopass appt late next week. Guess another garbage collecton day..:-)

check the latest release on July 17.pdf. I am not sure how many applications are rejected on july 2nd ...If one did not recieve rejected package it means,they are going to honor the application as long as initial evidence is right.
