If the authorities were really clever they should have accepted the 65000 with highest salaries instead of doing something random like a lottery. This in turn would have forced employers to raise wages to have a meaningful shot at getting a visa.

I believe there are more than one admin here, why dont one of you take couple of minutes atleast for the sake of putting a stop to this false accusations. Why dont you track our IP address for the past 1-2 days. You know we have been posting simultaneously, why do you please take a step to find out if these messages are coming from the same machine or even same vicinity. Please do this for our sake. There are only a handful who are active. EB3's are screwed so bad that they have resigned to fate or comtemplating using AC 21 and reapplying in EB 2. i have tired pointing it out to many that EB 3 as a whole is in the same boat, few care and the July filers are happy in the land of EAD/AP.
Some people like me who really love what they do and dont prefer changing jobs have reached a point where they are begining to think if it is all even worth the wait. You will not find a sleeping giant, rather a depressed giant overrun by a bunch of koolaid drinkers.

Or because EB3 recepients are quieter? Both these situations lend themselves to the bias towards EB2. And ultimately lead to one thing - more being done for EB2. I am EB2 and believe you me - I'm not complaining.
Sadly though, the number of EB3 applicants is many many times the number of EB2. So, there's something to be said for participation and having your voice heard. It is no wonder then that we as a group are dismal at having our collective voices heard - we don't participate like our lives depended on it. And in this case our entire lives depend on what's going on...
So, instead of bickering and blaming, why don't we awaken the giant that is EB3 India and China and have them participate as well...maybe we'll be able to kill many many birds (country limits, DC rallies, contributions to IV and lobbying activities, phone call campaigns, letter campaigns...) with just one stone....just thinking out loud...that's all...
Any ideas?

I applied for my 2nd visa extension (1-year extension) after completion of 6 years in the middle of March 2007 (before I-94 expiry). My I-94 expired in the middle of March. I didn't hear from USCIS until the middle of July when they sent a huge list of request for evidence regarding my case (although I've been working on the same company's H1s for last many years now).
Meanwhile, I applied for adjustment of status on July 2nd as a beneficiary on my wife's application. If my H-1B gets rejected after sending the request for evidence for some reason now will I be out of status? Since my 180 days from my last valid I-94 will expire in the middle of September, is it a good idea to go on H4 before the middle of September and reenter the country?
In worst case, what will be my status if USCIS gets back to me, say in October, and says my H-1B extension application has been rejected?
Any input from UN or other gurus is appreciated.

Therefore you *are* authorized to stay here as of that day until a decision on the 485 is made (the unlawful stay clock stops ticking). If you get rejected on your H1 extension, you can still stay in the country and possibly work on the EAD (a derivative benefit of the 485). If you think your wife's 485 is airtight, and there's a problem later you can use the 245(k) provision since you were in unlawful stay for less than 180 days.

This is a big lie. EB3 went totally unavailable in July to September 2005. When eb3 went unavailable that means no country should have gone over their 7% limit. However, statistics show that certain countries did go over the 7% limit. This is where USCIS/department of state broke the law by giving visas to certain countries that they shouldn't have.

Osmosis == the tendency of a fluid, usually water, to pass through a semipermeable membrane into a solution where the solvent concentration is higher, thus equalizing the concentrations of materials on either side of the membrane.
Socio-Economic Osmosis == When you have a developed/super rich country across the borders with opportunities which do not exist in your homeland, people tend to move from one area to the other.
